Job Title: Lead Travel Technician (100% Travel) - Commercial Projects
Location: Based in Nashville, TN (Nationwide Travel Required)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Travel Technician to oversee commercial low-voltage installation projects across the country. This role is ideal for a self-starter who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The position involves leading a small team (1-3 technicians) and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant installations of structured cabling and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on-site installations of conduit, Cat6 cabling, security cameras, and related infrastructure.
  • Install, terminate, and test Cat6, fiber, coax, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Interpret blueprints and build cable pathways that avoid obstructions and electrical conflicts.
  • Mount and configure access points, cameras, access panels, and fire alarm hardware.
  • Build and install server racks and ensure all systems are tested and operational.
  • Maintain compliance with NEX codes for low-voltage installations.
  • Provide your own hand tools, cordless drills, and punch tools (consumables and specialized training provided).

Required Skills:
  • Structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6), security systems, fire alarms, and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and deployment experience.
  • Ability to lead small teams and manage on-site execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
