Job Title: AWS DevSecOps Deployment Manager

Responsibilities:
The client seeks a seasoned Deployment Manager/DevOps Engineer 3. This role demands a proactive professional capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to gather technical requirements, design, implement, and maintain our mission-critical infrastructure platform and DevOps services. These services and solutions are foundational to our software lifecycle, ensuring scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance. The ideal candidate will be capable and comfortable managing large-scale deployments in an agile-at-scale environment.
The successful candidate will bring a proven record, with 8 or more years in the industry, showcasing expertise in creating solutions that align with business needs while following best practices, standards, and controls. This role emphasizes both independent judgment and adherence to guidelines, using in-depth knowledge to drive crucial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to devise strategies for the deployment of new technologies, monitoring the existing system to develop a migration path using CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead teams in architecting and rolling out state-of-the-art DevOps practices and solutions.
- Establish and manage CI/CD frameworks, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Veracode, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Liquibase, ensuring seamless software integration, testing, and deployment.
- Govern the setup and management of configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to maintain consistent configurations.
- Spearhead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, streamlining the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Analyze operational metrics continuously, identifying inefficiencies, and optimizing the infrastructure for unmatched availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Promote and oversee container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, reinforcing efficient application deployment.
- Mentor team members, particularly on AWS design, implementation, and fostering a culture rooted in DevOps principles throughout the SDLC.
- Stay updated with the latest in DevOps, advocating for innovative strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
- Champion strict adherence to security standards, ensuring all DevOps operations surpass safety and compliance benchmarks.
- Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) concerning approvals and reviews.

Required Skills:
- 8 Years of Required Extensive skills experience transitioning from on premise data center services to platform and services
- 8 Years of Required Software engineering DevSecOps experience with end-to-end solutions
- 8 Years of Required Strong knowledge and proven experience using DevOps concepts, software development life cycle methodologies, including Agile and Kanban
- 8 Years of Required Experience working directly with AWS DevSecOps Services and securing applications using Veracode, SonarQube, Xray or similar products
- 8 Years of Required Extensive skills with Linux and Windows
- 8 Years of Required Experience managing large-scale deployments, including automating deployments
- 8 Years of Required Experience and deep understanding of data-intensive architectures
- 8 Years of Required Experience coding and scripting (e.g., Python, Groovy, Golang) and design experience
- 8 Years of Required Able to work independently
- 8 Years of Required Experience with designing and automating build and deployment solutions/process for database solutions using Liquibase, Flyway or another product
- 8 Years of Required Experience with cloud infrastructure
- 8 Years of Required Experience with agile-at-scale
Preferred Skills:
- 4 Years of Preferred Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4 Years of Preferred Experience working in state of Texas systems
