Job Details

Title: Scrum Master
Location: Denver, Colorado (Hybrid)-Candidate Must Be Local
Duration: 6 Months

Business Innovation, Technology, and Security (BITS) is responsible for managing the Department's information technology (IT) providers, including relations with the client. The division serves as the main point of contact for departmental issues involving technology resources and needs. It coordinates activities with the program staff for IT support, operations, maintenance, modernization, and implementation of new IT systems.
HYBRID WORK - 2 days in the office, 3 days working remote (Please note: These working arrangements are subject to change)
Description of Job
The ideal candidate will work to further agile transformation efforts through iteratively leading project planning efforts, collaboration with cross-functional teams to define backlogs, sprint content, and key design decisions. They will oversee project budgets, work closely with product owners, conduct necessary ceremonies, facilitate backlog grooming activities, and develop and distribute project or product-related communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate effectively with non-technical and technical audiences, verbally and in writing
Participate in early-stage project intake and requirement-gathering sessions to influence project scope and planning
Deep customer empathy and curiosity that's paired with knowledge of how to gather and synthesize customer needs
Proven experience in fostering high-performing teams with strong aptitude to drive requirement alignment, cross team collaboration, healthy conflict resolution, and diversity.
Proven experience with inspect and adapt activities including system demo, quantitative and qualitative measurement, and the retrospective and problem-solving events.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Coordinate project discovery efforts (funding, feasibility, and strategic alignment)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a technology related field (preferred)
Agile certification (s) (preferred)
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience using Agile-tracking tools (Jira, Confluence - a must)
