Sr. Network Engineer.
12 months contract.
100% onsite from day at San Diego, CA.
-Some travel will be required throughout SoCal (LA, OC, San Diego)
Position Overview: As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on Juniper and Cisco systems, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our network while optimizing performance and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions utilizing Juniper and Cisco technologies for WAN/LAN environments.
Configure and troubleshoot Juniper routers (MX series), switches (EX/QFX series), and firewalls (SRX series), as well as Cisco routers (ISR/ASR series), switches (Catalyst/Nexus series), and firewalls (ASA/Firepower series).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements, provide technical guidance, and support network-related projects.
Architect and deploy scalable network solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring high availability and performance.
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Conduct regular network performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance network capabilities and security posture. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
Proven experience (X years) as a Network Engineer, specializing in both Juniper and Cisco technologies.
Strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
In-depth knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies, protocols, and services (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, etc.).
Experience with network security practices and technologies, including VPNs, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.
Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Interview process: 2 rounds (1 meet and greet/technical; 1 fully technical)
