Cloud Engineering Architect, Senior
The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to build, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.

As a lead platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. You'll guide your team as they use the latest cloud technologies to improve your client's environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform expertise, you'll lead your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with DoD or IC programs and projects that provide operations and maintenance to industry or government cloud enterprise systems
  • Experience with architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions across large-scale enterprise environments
  • Experience defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements to enterprise cloud vision and initiatives, including establishing system architecture, ensuring information assurance compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, interfacing with government personnel, and providing progress reports
  • Experience with designing and operating network technologies, including DNS, Routing, Load Balancing, and SSL
  • Experience designing and automating the provisioning of cloud resources and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies and Kubernetes
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and command-line interfaces, including Bash, GitLab YAML, and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with DevOps and implementing pipelines
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suites, including Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Agile development techniques and ceremonies
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and deliver to project deadlines
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain an IAT III Certification within 30 days of hire date

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
