Program Overview

Oaktree is seeking one individual to be an Intern in the Information Solutions Group for summer 2026.

The responsibilities will include:
  • Participate in a 10-week internship program
  • Understand general departmental data extraction and modeling - planning and design
  • Understanding the menu of work that Information Solutions Team is responsible for, within Oaktree
  • Understand the data and technology architecture at Oaktree
  • Meet other interns and build relationships across the organization

Qualifications
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong technical/ programming skills, including Python, SQL, and familiarity with databases
  • Fluency in core Python libraries, and exposure to AI/ML packages as applied to finance
  • Academic background in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or another hard science discipline
  • Experience with statistical modeling, data analysis, and big data methods
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies; AWS experience a plus
  • Understanding of finance and economics, with knowledge of private financial markets highly desirable

Education

Any degree that builds strong computing skills and some context of finance. Usually hard science and engineering undergraduates, Masters in Financial Engineering/ Operations Research/ Financial Mathematics, etc. or someone in a Finance program with strong programming and data skills.

Summer Stipend

$36/hour
