Position: Workday Developer
Location: Houston, TX
W2 and 10+ Only
Must Haves: Workday HCM expertise, Workday Studio, Java, Web Services (SOAP & REST), APIs
Job Description: Workday HCM Developer (Temp-to-Perm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement custom Workday integrations, extensions, and enhancements using Workday Studio and related tools
- Review and improve existing Workday Studio code and integration workflows
- Support and maintain third-party integrations within Workday, including upcoming onboarding modules for time and attendance
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders and assess feasibility of system improvements
- Analyze current HRIS systems, recommend optimizations, and document specifications for proposed solutions
- Provide deep technical support for Workday HCM applications during business hours and on-call as needed
- Lead small to medium-sized projects and mentor junior developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout the SDLC
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development with hands-on Workday HCM expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Java, XML, XSLT, Web Services (SOAP & REST), APIs, and security protocols
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules, including Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, Compensation, and Talent Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), project methodologies, and system testing
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
