Hello,

One of our clients based in Houston, TX is looking for SQL Database Developer. Independent contractors are required for this role. Please send your resumes ASAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor scheduled update scripts in SQL and Python to ensure continued availability of data layers
  • Investigate issues as they arise, diagnose causes, and implement fixes
  • Track bugs and enhancements related to database architecture and update workflows
  • Assist with maintaining item metadata and data organization
  • Audit datasets for accuracy and completeness; set up automated reports on item usage within Portal for ArcGIS
  • Support operations to mitigate risk, automate tasks, and ensure continued access to data, maps and apps within the organization
  • Exchange knowledge and best practices with other members of the GIS Team as needed and desired

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in enterprise-level relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Skilled in automating ETL processes and integrating workflows across systems.
  • Familiar with APIs, data warehouse concepts, and database optimization techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (WorkSpaces and S3).
  • Basic knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and geospatial data tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ESRI data formats (enterprise and file geodatabases, shapefiles, feature services).
  • Experience with git, GitHub, and/or other version control systems.
  • Experience using request tracking systems.
