Job Title: Senior Oracle Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performing database applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PL/SQL, performance tuning, ETL, and data modeling, and will play a key role in supporting mission-critical systems and working with large volumes of complex data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to support application and reporting requirements.

  • Optimize and tune SQL queries for maximum performance and scalability.

  • Perform detailed data analysis and data modeling to support business requirements.

  • Create and maintain ETL processes using Oracle tools or third-party utilities (Informatica, SQL*Loader, etc.).

  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices in database development.

  • Work closely with application developers, analysts, and stakeholders to implement business logic at the database layer.

  • Develop and maintain materialized views, partitioned tables, and database indexes.

  • Manage database versioning, release management, and change control processes.

  • Ensure database security, backup and recovery, and data integrity in coordination with DBAs.

  • Provide support for production issues, root cause analysis, and performance troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, preferably in enterprise-scale environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c features, architecture, and internal workings.

  • Proven experience in query optimization, performance tuning, and execution plan analysis.

  • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, Toad, DataGrip, or similar tools.

  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL, and batch job automation.

  • Understanding of indexing strategies, partitioning, materialized views, and parallel processing.

  • Experience in Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ), ref cursors, collections, and analytical functions.

  • Familiarity with version control (Git/SVN), Agile/Scrum, and JIRA.

  • Exposure to Unix/Linux shell scripting and integration with APIs or external systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle EBS, or Fusion Cloud.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) and migration strategies.

  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or REST API integration.

  • Certifications like Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate/Professional are a plus.
