Job Description - Power BI specialist
Our client is seeking a Power BI Specialist to join our growing data team and help accelerate the development of campaign-specific reporting tools. With increasing demand for actionable insights and only one Power BI expert currently on the team, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work closely with our existing specialist, and bring clarity and speed to our reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Report Development: Build and enhance Power BI one-pagers and dashboards focused on email marketing campaigns and sales KPIs.
-Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with campaign owners and data analysts to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, insightful visualizations.
- UI & Visualization: Design intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that follow existing design guidelines while introducing innovative ways to present insights.
- Efficiency & Speed: Work in tandem with the senior Power BI specialist to increase development velocity and reduce bottlenecks in report creation.
- Data Utilization: Leverage existing data models and flows developed over the past 3-4 months; minimal work on rebuilding or ETL.
- Quality Assurance: Perform minor corrections and ensure reports are accurate, relevant, and easy to interpret.
Required Skills & Experience
- Power BI Expertise: Proven experience building advanced dashboards and visualizations in Power BI.
- UI/UX Design: Strong understanding of user interface principles and ability to create visually appealing, functional reports.
- Campaign Insight: Familiarity with email marketing campaigns and related KPIs (sales, engagement, etc.).
- Tools Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Copilot in Power BI is a strong asset.
- Communication: Ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored insights.
- Problem Solving: Creative thinker who can find new ways to present data and drive decision-making.
Nice-to-Have Assets
- Experience in the insurance industry.
- Experience in marketing analytics.
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics data extraction.
- Ability to set up simple semantic models using Copilot.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We're not looking for a generalist or a data engineer. The ideal candidate is Power BI-focused, with a strong eye for design and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. You'll be working alongside our Sr Power BI Specialist, so collaboration and speed are key. If you're not an expert who can contribute quickly, this role may not be the right fit.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
