Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with strong expertise in the Life Sciences / Pharma / Biotech domain to design and implement enterprise data architecture, data models, data governance processes, and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with clinical, commercial, regulatory, safety, and R&D data environments, along with cloud, big data, and modern data engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Architect enterprise-level data solutions for Life Sciences (Clinical, Safety, Regulatory, R&D, Commercial).

  • Design scalable data models (ER, Dimensional, Data Vault).

  • Lead cloud data platform development (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform/Snowflake).

  • Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica, Talend, ADF, Databricks, dbt, etc.

  • Implement data governance, data quality, and MDM frameworks.

  • Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR.

  • Integrate data across EDC, CTMS, LIMS, CRM, ERP, and third-party sources.

  • Partner with SMEs, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver analytics-ready data.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Systems

  • Strong Life Sciences domain experience (Clinical / R&D / Safety / Regulatory / Commercial)

  • Hands-on with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake)

  • Strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT experience

  • Experience with clinical data standards (CDISC, SDTM, ADaM), HL7/FHIR, OMOP, MedDRA

  • Expertise in Data Modeling, DWH/Lakehouse, and distributed systems (Spark/Databricks)

  • Experience with data governance, metadata, and MDM

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building RWD/RWE platforms

  • Pharma-specific tools: Veeva, Argus, LIMS, CTMS, EDC

  • Certifications in cloud/data technologies
