Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role focuses on developing and maintaining comprehensive security frameworks that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our systems and data while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement industry-leading security practices.
Responsibilities:
Design and maintain enterprise-wide security solution architectures that align with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and security gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring integration into system and software development lifecycles.
Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams to evaluate and implement secure design patterns and controls.
Architect security models for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring.
Lead the implementation of identity solutions such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and privileged access management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and partner with compliance teams during audits and reporting cycles.
Evaluate emerging security technologies and third-party vendor products to enhance the organization's security posture.
Advocate for security best practices by delivering training and fostering a security-first culture across teams.
Participate in strategic initiatives and continuously evolve security frameworks to align with industry trends.
Requirements
Proven expertise in data privacy, database security, and cybersecurity principles.
Strong understanding of cyber governance and regulatory compliance standards.
Experience with designing security solutions for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
Ability to perform detailed risk assessments and threat modeling.
Proficiency in implementing identity and access management solutions, including multi-factor authentication.
Familiarity with emerging security technologies and frameworks.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
