Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer (TE) with MTSI you will support of a government organization essential to U.S. national security. In this position you will apply knowledge and expertise in ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced aircraft systems through rigorous testing and evaluation processes.

Key Responsibilities: Tasks and responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to:

Conduct research into and applying knowledge of Government test and evaluation concepts and related engineering, acquisition, and operations activities as needed to support the T&E activities
Review planned acquisition approaches to support T&E schedule alignment with decision maker needs for T&E support
Provide overall leadership of the T&E task and serve as primary liaison to the Government for supporting contract coordination and task execution
Communicate issues and solutions to the broader Government and contract management structure as requested by Leadership
Ensure the appropriate level of independence of the team from the solution provider to support government management of objectivity risk
Manage T&E resources and tasks; ensure quality assurance of test processes and products.
Coordinate and integrate Evaluation and Testing tasks and products
Drive innovation and responsiveness to program changes and evolving T&E status to help manage program risk: develop alternative courses of action, work arounds, and fallback positions with a recommended course of action for each risk, and monitor and re-evaluate risks
Ensure test readiness including training of test event participants, equipment readiness, and security, legal, and privacy compliance arrangements
Provide test engineering in the planning, coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting of all T&E activities
Develop test strategies, test plans, test reports, and related documents
Provide test management support, to include planning and oversight of all lab/ground/flight Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities
Oversee contractor and Government test activities

Qualifications

Required:

8+ years of T&E experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Test background to include test plan writing, test design, test conduct, reporting, and anomaly resolution
Bomber, fighter, or ISR platform experience

Desired:

TPS Grad or equivalent
Expert in Acquisition Category (ACAT) like test and evaluation planning and execution for all developmental and operational testing activities

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university

Certifications Requirements:

N/A

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
Current TS clearance with eligibility for SCI
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information
Worked in a Special Access Program or TS/SCI environment for 3 of the last 10 years (highly desired)
