MTSI is actively seeking an advanced cybersecurity engineer to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer in Huntsville, AL. Selected applicants will be the Computer Network Defense (CND) lead responsible for directing and executing the Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSS) operations within the organization. The Computer Network Defense (CND) Lead is responsible for producing CND guidance, assist with risk assessments and risk management, and tracking and reporting Cyber Tasking Order (CTO) status through closure for all required networks, enclaves, and systems.

- Under the supervision of the Government Information System Security Manage (ISSM) team, lead activities on all CND duties across the entire portfolio of network, enclaves, and systems
- Manage the distribution, tracking, and reporting of CTOs to constituent networks, enclaves, and systems
- Enhance the implementation of Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS)/Endpoint Security Systems (ESS) deployments across the portfolio of networks, enclaves, and systems, identify efficiencies, and work with the ISSM team to implement and deploy improvements
- Collaborate with Tier II, MDA CSSP - Computer Emergency Response Team (CSSP-CERT), for data roll up (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS))/ESS for Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) compliance
- Monitor external CND data sources to maintain enclave situational awareness and track compliance audit findings, incident after-action-reports, and recommendations to ensure appropriate mitigation actions are taken
- Provide weekly cybersecurity status briefings including: CTO statuses, HBSS compliance, and ACAS scan status to senior leadership
- Develop CND policies and procedures reflecting applicable laws, polices, procedures, and regulations for dissemination to the prime contractors
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree- Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field with appropriate DoDD 8140/DoDD 8570 compliant IAT/IAM Level 3 Certification is required.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity related duties for DoD and/or commercial information systems
- Active Secret Clearance
- Working knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Computer Network Defense (CND)
- Proficient knowledge in DoD continuous monitoring Tools, Techniques, and Practices (TTPs)
- Working knowledge of McAfee HBSS/ESS and ACAS required
- Experience with MDA and the CTO processes preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
