Title:
Mission Thread Engineer
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Mission Thread Engineer with SIGINT and IC experience to support a major SIGINT acquisition system program office. The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering or other technical discipline and will have intimate knowledge of SIGINT missions, tasking CONOPs, and processing of data. The successful candidate will conduct outreach to mission partners and the IC community to understand needs which are then translated into concept of operations and day in the life scenarios.

Mission Thread Engineer
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Mission Thread Engineer with SIGINT and IC experience to support a major SIGINT acquisition system program office. The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering or other technical discipline and will have intimate knowledge of SIGINT missions, tasking CONOPs, and processing of data. The successful candidate will conduct outreach to mission partners and the IC community to understand needs which are then translated into concept of operations and day in the life scenarios.
Key duties include:
- Work with the community to understand intelligence needs that are being satisfied by a material solution
- Work with development team to understand material solution and translate this into CONOPs as well as work with mission partners on various tasking strategies and data delivery options
- Contribute to the development of strategic engagement strategies for coordinating policy and operational actions and work across a broad cross-section of IC partners and stakeholders to articulate material solution capabilities
- Develop processes and procedures for IC participants to operate together and perform joint tasks and aid assessment teams to analyze performance measurements metrics
- Author formal presentations, background papers, meeting agendas, and other formal communications for executive-level meetings and presentation
- Perform Systems Engineering activities including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, program analysis and engineering, design and support to capabilities experiments / exercises, systems integration, and operations performance analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years experience with space/ground aerospace systems engineering
- Knowledge of SIGINT collection space systems
- BS degree in engineering or technical discipline
- Experience in AGILE concepts and satisfaction of requirements
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in engineering discipline or systems engineering
- Exposure to the system design trade process, assessing system design options, analyzing mission requirements, and tracking requirement verification
- Specific knowledge of the NRO and its processes
- Domain expertise in SIGINT space systems
Clearance:
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and a Counter-Intelligence polygraph
Location/Travel Requirements:
- May require travel up to 20% of time within the continental United States
