The Mid-Atlantic area is seeking a Transportation Business Group intern for our Virginia Beach, VA office. This individual will support multiple disciplines in Transportation including structural engineering related to bridges and auxiliary structures.

In the role of Transportation/Structures Intern, we'll count on you to:

  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering, Planning or Transportation related program
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Preference given to local candidates
