Job Details

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina in a hybrid W2 role. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise security architecture, threat detection, incident response, and implementation of security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions and tools to protect enterprise systems and data.

  • Monitor networks and systems for security events and respond to incidents.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.

  • Manage SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection platforms.

  • Conduct regular audits, security awareness training, and compliance checks.

  • Stay updated with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security engineering roles.

  • Strong experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security, and network security tools.

  • Hands-on experience with security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.).

  • Solid knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and incident response.

  • Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and PKI.
