We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina in a hybrid W2 role. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise security architecture, threat detection, incident response, and implementation of security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage security solutions and tools to protect enterprise systems and data.
Monitor networks and systems for security events and respond to incidents.
Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
Manage SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection platforms.
Conduct regular audits, security awareness training, and compliance checks.
Stay updated with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security engineering roles.
Strong experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security, and network security tools.
Hands-on experience with security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.).
Solid knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and incident response.
Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and PKI.
