Job Description:


Responsibilities:


Vision & Strategy



  • Translates product vision and portfolio strategy into actionable software solutions.

  • Partners with product line managers, technical product managers, UX, and development teams.


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Works closely with customers to understand needs and test concepts/solutions.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, implementation, training, support) for customer and functional insights.

  • Serves as a bridge between internal/external stakeholders and the development team to ensure successful product execution.


Product Ownership



  • Develops a deep understanding of product vision, target customer segments, and long-term priorities.

  • Ensures communication and alignment with senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Acts as the voice of the customer during development and validation.

  • Facilitates customer interactions to uncover unmet needs and drive concept testing throughout development.


Development & Execution



  • Translates business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Leads Agile development execution, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and reviewing completed work.

  • Leads quarterly Agile planning and deepens product subject matter expertise.

  • Develops and maintains detailed product roadmaps, prioritizing features across multiple quarters.


Job Qualifications:


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • Recommended: College degree in business, finance, or technology.


Experience:



  • Minimum 3 years in product management for software products (preference for B2B enterprise SaaS or Tax & Accounting solutions, including CPA firm experience).

  • Minimum 5 years in a Sr. Product Manager role.

  • Hands-on Agile Scrum experience as a Product Owner/Technical Product Manager.

  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (backlog grooming, user story creation, iterative planning).

  • Experience collaborating with UX and technical teams, with emphasis on user research, concept, and usability testing.
