The pay range for this position is $72.11 - $79.32/hr.

About the Role
TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Network Engineer - SME to support a high-impact federal program in Cambridge, MA. This is a hands-on, expert-level role focused on designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures in a secure, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 across enterprise networks.
- Manage and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) environments.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot advanced network architectures.
- Collaborate with IT teams and application owners to ensure network stability and scalability.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and change management processes.
- Integrate physical and virtual network environments.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture.
- Expertise in:
- Cisco ISE
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Cisco Firepower VPN
- Cisco ACI & DNAC
- IPv6, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, MTIPS
- BGP, EIGRP, QoS
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco CCIE Certification.
- Experience with virtualization networking technologies.
- Prior experience supporting federal government agencies. (but not required)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work on a W2 with at least 3 years of U.S. residency.
- Must be able to complete the eApp National Investigation Services (NBIS) form.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (2-3 month process).
- Must have excellent communication skills

- Location: Cambridge, MA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, core business hours
- Work Type: 100% Onsite (no remote/hybrid options)
