The Design Lead is an expert player-coach who can set a strategic design vision, guide research and design implementation, and deliver high-quality, production-ready materials at speed. They are chief collaborators with the business, technical, and product leaders to understand and inform the vision, objectives, and transformation plans to help identify opportunities for impact.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role:
Champion a human-centered product vision for the POD:
o Set the strategic direction for the platform, aligning it with business goals and product strategies across multiple workstreams
o Lead the evolution of the platform to an integrated system with advanced predictive analytics and user experience orchestration
Lead and own execution of design efforts in agile cadence:
o Identify, prioritize, plan, and execute iterative design research (generative, evaluative) to inform product backlog and UX design decisions
o Ideate, define, and deliver detailed designs for user stories, including informing user story acceptance criteria and product prioritization
Operational excellence & continuous improvement:
o Lead POD design team in creating, contributing to and maintaining the design system and other design ops resources
Cross-Functional collaboration:
o Work closely with product owner, data science team, and POD & Platform developers to ensure the product designs are implemented effectively
o Facilitate technical discussions with other designers across PODs to ensure consistency and best-in-class practices balanced with efficiency and a delivery-oriented mindset
o Champion design and research best practices within the POD and beyond
Stakeholder communication & governance:
o Act as the primary voice of the user and UX expert in sprint demos and interactions with stakeholders and leadership
o Ensure compliance with accessibility and UX standards

Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Excellent leadership skills with experience in leading design within cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders

2) Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

3) UX Design/Figma expertise
a. 8+ years Quality to be seen in Portfolio

1) Experience in designing Enterprise products.

8) Ability to co-create design concepts with designers using tools such as Figma and Miro. Ability to create visual representations of data to communicate with stakeholders and clients.
9) Ability to work with large data sets and bridge the gap between data insights and design decisions.
