EKG Systems Lead

Duration:

3 months + (Possibility of extension)

Toledo, OH 43659 (100% Remote)

Schedule:

Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST


Technical Skills (Must Have)

Purpose of the Job

The HR Systems Lead provides technical and process expertise for Client s workforce management systems (UKG) across North America (U.S., Canada) and Latin America (Mexico). The role supports HR systems stability, process excellence, and project execution, ensuring seamless HR operations and user experience.


Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Technical Support

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Client s UKG configuration and supporting HR processes.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring SLA compliance and proactive escalation.
  • Perform testing, maintenance, and access management across workforce management platforms.
  • Support HR operational cycles and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keep system documentation and configuration current; remain informed on new releases and features.

Project Execution

  • Participate in HR systems roadmap projects handling requirements definition, testing, vendor management, and documentation.
  • Lead change management deliverables: develop training guides, communications, and process documentation.
  • Identify and escalate risks, ensuring adherence to project scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration between HR, Shared Services, IT, Finance, and Audit.
  • May lead smaller projects end-to-end, including project planning and stakeholder coordination.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in information systems, HR/Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 6 10 years of experience in HRIS, IT, or HR operations for large corporations.
  • Proven experience in system and process design, configuration, and support.

Experience

  • Strong background in UKG Workforce Management, timekeeping, payroll integration, and HR reporting.
  • Experience supporting diverse employee populations (salaried, hourly, union, expatriate).
  • Familiarity with SaaS implementation methodologies and project management principles.
  • Experience collaborating in a matrixed, multi-regional environment and managing supplier partnerships.
  • Working knowledge of HR functional processes across talent management and total rewards.
