Nvidia Corp is seeking a hands-on and highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join its Santa Clara team. This role requires a strong understanding of data center operations, DevOps tools, scripting, and infrastructure management. The candidate must be local to the Santa Clara area and willing to travel onsite to data centers in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale as needed.
Key Responsibilities-
Support and maintain Nvidia's data centers and engineering labs across Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.

Perform daily operational tasks, including hardware/software troubleshooting, configuration, and deployments.

Work with Source Code Management (SCM) tools such as GIT and Perforce for version control and collaboration.

Utilize Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms like Nautobot for asset and capacity management.

Develop automation scripts and tools using shell scripting, Python, and Ansible.

Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot network services and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSL, and others.

Administer and support multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth CI/CD and infrastructure processes.

Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ensure best practices in security, system reliability, and efficiency.

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data centers or large engineering labs.

Proficiency with SCM tools (GIT, Perforce).

Hands-on experience with DCIM platforms (e.g., Nautobot) and scripting languages (shell, Python, Ansible).

Strong understanding of network protocols/services including TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSL, etc.

Experience administering Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.

Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational skills.

Hands-on experience with OpenStack or other cloud infrastructure platforms.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, RHCSA, etc.).

Strong background in dense data center design, including compute, storage, and networking.
