Description
We are looking for an experienced Consultant to lead a strategic initiative. This position involves conducting a comprehensive assessment of security camera systems and infrastructure across multiple locations, followed by the creation of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to implement a unified and modernized system. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the future system aligns with standards and technological interoperability.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough evaluation of existing security camera systems and infrastructure across 12 locations.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather insights, identify pain points, and define desired outcomes for the future system.
Develop a detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) that includes recommendations for system design, hardware requirements, and integration strategies.
Assess and document one-time and recurring costs for a minimum five-year period as part of the RFP.
Ensure the proposed system aligns with standards for safety technology.
Coordinate meetings with stakeholders, including procurement teams and staff, to facilitate vendor evaluations and selection.
Provide guidance on system architecture options, such as centralized, regional, or site-specific solutions.
Address considerations for upcoming library renovations and rebuilds, ensuring future readiness.
Oversee the rating process for vendor proposals and assist in the final selection.
Maintain clear communication and project documentation throughout the initiative.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT project management, preferably with infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies and tools such as Atlassian Jira.
PMP Certification is required.
Strong ability to manage complex projects, including RFP development and vendor coordination.
Experience in evaluating hardware and software requirements for integrated systems.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of safety standards and technology integration practices.
Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and maintain a focus on long-term objectives.
