Electrician 3

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking an Electrician for a 10-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation: $31.25 per hour

The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or certification preferred.
• 5-10 years in building/equipment maintenance with experience in mechanical and electrical systems
• Basic maintenance skills, light plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, ability to operate HVAC controls
• Emergency Generators
• Emergency Lighting
• 07 Electrical License required
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Ability to use Microsoft office / smart phone
• Possess valid DL
• Fluent in English
