Job Description

The Global Physical Security (GPS) System Team manages physical security technology across the corporation. Oracle is seeking a highly experienced and multi-talented member of the physical security systems team. This role will be responsible for constructing and leading a focused team of experts responsible for the evolving design, delivery, and support of Oracle's Rack Level Protection (RLP) initiative across global data centers, ensuring the physical security of Oracle technologies within shared data hall environments.

As a leading contributor individually and as a team member, this position will provide direction and mentoring across their team. The work is non-routine and often very complex, involving the application of advanced technical and business skills in this area of specialization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides management and oversight ensuring that Oracle's Rack Level Protection initiative is developed, delivered, and maintained consistently across the globe. These initiatives include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and execute a product and services roadmap that incorporates cutting-edge server rack access control technologies with an eye for novel scaling approaches while ensuring alignment with physical security and Oracle wide organizational goals and values.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with engineering, physical security, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication, prioritize requirements, and drive product delivery.
  • Develops and manages the Global Data Center Security Systems RLP Team, including the sourcing of appropriate contracted staff.
  • Provides mentoring, development, and guidance to staff, enhancing skills with developmental training programs.
  • Develops robust delivery and onward support programs, aligning the team with the wider delivery program.
  • Ensures RLP projects are delivered and commissioned to the timescales dictated by the overall program.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Oversees the teams' responsibilities towards design and enhancement of the RLP solution, working closely within the OCI GPS Systems Team, and key stakeholders in the manufacturing design process.
  • Develops and manages the spares holding and maintenance procedures, working closely with the OCI GPS Global Service Desk Team.
  • Ensures completion of periodical site reviews and serviceability spot checks.
  • Manages appointed VAR's responsible for the external elements of the RLP program delivery and participates in annual VAR business review processes.
  • Closely liaises with the Data Center Systems, Operational and GSOC Teams.
  • Ensures deployed RLP systems are fully monitored and manages alarm reduction programs based upon operational experiences.
  • Provides monthly deployment and serviceability data and analysis thereof.
  • Meets customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing annual service budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; processing vendor invoicing and payments.
  • Performs additional functions as directed by the Director of Global Data Center Security Systems as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At minimum of 10 years' experience in the Security industry, having gained experience in deployment, project management and system development. 4+ years of Technical Program Manager Experience
  • Proven track record of success in the delivery of a similar initiatives within the Security industry.
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams without authority in complex, production-critical environments.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a track record of influencing stakeholders and leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experienced in Security Access Control, CCTV, and rack locking solutions.
  • Experience of deploying niche hardware programs through design, test, manufacture, and deployment would be advantageous - especially within Data Center environments.
  • Must be self-motivated, but equally comfortable working within a team or alone and requiring minimal supervision.
  • Good working knowledge of IT networking, firewalls, and communication protocols.
  • Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels, up to and including Corporate Executive leadership.
  • Highly proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communication techniques.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:

The Global Data Center Rack Level Protection (RLP) Program Managers scope of responsibility will be global in nature. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Director, Global Data Center Security Systems who is based in the UK. The level of decision making is high as it affects the direction of physical security technology across the corporation. The position will be the focal point for Rack Level Protection within the Global Physical Security team. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role that has no direct reports but will have oversight of a larger contracted global security systems staff within their scope of responsibility. There is an expectancy of up to 30% global travel.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Physically located in US
  • Ability to show experience in above required essential functions is mandatory.
  • Lenel OnGuard, Milestone and Security locking knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Additional industry certifications are highly desirable, but not absolutely required.Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Responsibilities

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
