Job Title: AWS Architect
Location: Reston, VA or Philadelphia, PA (Onsite - Locals)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to design and lead the future-state architecture of a hybrid observability platform (on-prem + AWS) supporting significant data pipeline growth. This role will act as the primary architect, driving scalable, resilient, and robust observability solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead AWS Architect for observability platform design and strategy
- Translate business and technical requirements into AWS-based architectural solutions
- Assess existing observability implementations and recommend scalability and performance improvements
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, SREs, and engineering teams on design and implementation
Required Skills:
- Expert-level AWS architecture experience
- Strong background in observability platforms and tooling
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar logging and distributed tracing standards
- Knowledge of metrics, monitoring, and alerting tools
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing large-scale hybrid (on-prem + cloud) observability solutions
- Background supporting high-volume data pipelines
