Job Details

ServiceNOW Backend Engineer, hybrid Santa Clara

The role is on the ServiceNow engineering team that integrates their Virtual Agent AI chatbot with external systems, especially chat products like Teams.

Skills required:

  • Primary: Server side JavaScript
  • Secondary: Java, git/github
  • NOW Platform development experience strongly preferred, using Flow Designer and server side scripting/script includes
  • Chatbot/chat integration experience preferred
  • 5+ years product/application development experience
  • Agile, fast learner, can handle unknowns

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and test large-scale, distributed web-based applications.
  • Design and Develop ServiceNow platform using object-oriented languages like Java and JavaScript.
  • Develop across the full stack of backend and web technologies - Java, JavaScript, React, SQL.
  • Work in a scrum- based agile development process which plans and builds features targeted to release.
  • Help the team build and enhance the team's automated release management system using Git and GitHub API
  • Design and implement software that is simple, intuitive, and easy to use that will allow application developers and customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific business needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers and user experience designers to deliver delightful experiences.
