- Knowledge of local regulations, rules, and constraints about renewable development:
- Experience working with local governments and/or clean energy businesses
- Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree
- Relevant Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental policy, urban planning, engineering, or related field
- IT systems that will be used include MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Oracle/Peoplesoft, and SharePoint
Tasks
- Manage a portfolio of projects/contracts with local governments supporting the CEC and JTSRP programs;
- Work with program contractors and Community applicants to develop and process contract documents;
- Review deliverables and invoices; manage approvals/budgets;
- Complete comprehensive reviews of project deliverables and associated invoices;
- Engage with external stakeholders and customers to draw insights to improve program delivery:
- Identify opportunities for replication and showcase successes in ways that encourage scale across New York State;
- Identify and/or develop tools and resources that local governments can use to enable growth in the clean energy sector;
- Assist client?s external contractor (Clean Energy Community Coordinators) teams to provide technical assistance and local support to governments;
- Collaborate with State agency partners to participate in energy planning activities;
- Assist with the development of policies that influence, encourage, and enable community leadership in areas of clean energy:
- Benchmark legislation, large carbon-reduction initiatives, community campaigns, and other activities that advance energy efficiency and renewable energy;
- Communicate with contractors (local governments) to negotiate contract terms/documents;
- Build out contract deliverable stages in Salesforce.
- Assist with solicitation development and support documentation enhancements; and
- Other duties as assigned that contribute toward the key outcomes of the Communities and Local Government team.
