Title: Service Technician Manufacturing : Floor Support
Location: Elgin, IL
Duration: Immediate start, duration through the end of the year (possible extensions based on performances and needs of the business).
1st shift Orientation: 6:30 AM
Shift hours: 6:00 am - 2:15 pm
-A degree or certification in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
-Hands-on experience with RF systems, test fixtures, and electronic troubleshooting.
-Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including mechanical and pneumatic systems.
-Strong soldering, calibration, and diagnostic equipment skills.
-Ability to support customization processes and interface with engineering teams.
Floor support:
Support the end-to-end Infrastructure radio Customization Process
Interface with MSI Systems Engineers to validate customer-specific Infrastructure configuration parameters
Create Customer-specific Infrastructure configuration files using internal MSI software applications and supplied configuration parameters.
Troubleshoot Customization process and escalate to Engineering for additional support as required.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical and RF test systems.
Identify hardware and software issues that are potentially impacting the test or build process.
Provide first level technical manufacturing support to multiple manufacturing assembly lines.
Create, build and maintain test systems/fixtures.
Must be able to effectively troubleshoot fixture issues to including pneumatics, mechanical functionality, software/pc triggered interaction.
Excellent mechanical skills (pneumatics and calibration)
PC software and hardware maintenance skills
Pneumatic and hydraulic hardware maintenance skills
Familiar with tool and equipment calibration practices
Ability to create or construct projects from technical documentation.
Excellent use of hand, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
Able to traverse and work on ladders and lifts overhead
Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
Good interpersonal and communications skills. Able to work well within an environment managing multiple priorities.
Able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required to support on-going manufacturing operations.
