The Airborne Systems Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Test Engineer to work in our office near Hanscom AFB, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and other DoD missions. Your role will be to support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combination of software design and development, hardware interfacing and integration, laboratory experimentation, ground and flight testing to deploy cutting edge, next generation solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Works with the project team to ensure testability of software and system requirements and capabilities.
  • Troubleshoots software & systems
  • Applies appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Duties include software requirements analysis, analysis of hardware compatibility, development of software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms
  • Collaborate with Test Team members over execution of the test process.
  • Collaborates with the Cybersecurity team as required to support the RMF process
  • Creates test plan and procedures for embedded software to verify capabilities and requirements; including interface testing.
  • May brief parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.)

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience: OR additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have an active DoD TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Experience working with embedded systems
  • Experience working in a SIL and HWIL environment
  • Ability to liaise with, speak and present effectively to personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a test team.
  • Demonstrated test plan and test report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans and test reporting
  • Experience in data collection and analysis to verify accuracy of test objectives met.
  • Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Datalink/Mesh Network testing experience
  • COMSEC Experience
  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Zephyr, TestRail
