Our Engineering Program Managers partner with engineers who build secure, end-to-end solutions. Thanks to Apple's unique integration of hardware, software, and services, engineers and Program Managers work together to build a single unified vision. Apple is seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive programs focused on building Apple's Cloud Computing Platforms. Our cloud computing platforms power many features we all love in our Apple products and they must scale globally, be highly available, performant, and simply "just work". Description You'll partner with a diverse set of teams across Apple to develop the manage the platform that powers many workloads across Apple. Systems within this scope are complex. This role requires you to build trust with engineering partners and persistently remove ambiguity by seeking to reduce complexity. You will not only be expected to be able to readily understand complicated and subtle interdependencies, but also to evaluate new requests and new information in light of these systems. Being able to think on your feet is important, as is the ability to thoughtfully and efficiently debate the validity of a given approach to any aspect of a project under your control. Needless to say, strong social and interpersonal skills are required for this role. Your work will be incredibly important to maintain and improve Apple's most critical cloud services.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of engineering program managers in the compute infrastructure domain
  • Strong background in software delivery, and services infrastructure engineering
  • Proficient in software development processes (SDLC), and comfortable with various project management methodologies
  • Experience with risk analysis as well as developing, prioritizing and leading the roadmap
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or deep relevant industry experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior engineering, infrastructure, or software development program management experience for Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, along with polished presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with proven creative & critical thinking capabilities
  • Expertise in coordination & participation in requirements gathering and design brainstorming sessions
  • Experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • A history of leadership, decision making, negotiation skills, and ability to influence partners without direct authority
  • Proven record in defining processes, developing metrics and executing on them while driving program maturity and process optimization

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,000 and $278,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
