Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Missile Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support our DoD customers on a wide range of challenging modeling, simulation, and system analysis projects in support of the US intelligence community and US weapons system designers.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • In this position, you will analyze and model all aspects of missile weapons systems, including: flight dynamics; both traditional and novel navigation and communications systems; onboard sensors; and Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) systems.
  • Tasks may include system analysis, model definition, algorithm characterization and development, coding of models, use of simulations to conduct studies and reporting of results, and development and maintenance of digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulation architectures.

Required Clearance:
  • An active Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret SCI Security Clearance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a closely related degree program from an accredited institution, and 3+ years of professional experience. Disciplines such as Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science will be considered. A Master's degree will be considered instead of experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with a highly technical team including classified customers.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience with 6-DoF batch and/or real-time simulation architectures, and their use in Monte Carlo and parametric simulation study design and analysis. Experience with OMEGA, ITASE, or Sonic is especially desirable.
  • Experience with any aspects of ballistic missile systems.
  • Competency in C++, Python, MATLAB or a similar programming language.
  • Experience with software development, especially in a DevSecOps environment, including experience with configuration control systems, such as Git, and other CI/CD tools and development processes.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning topics.

$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
