Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain electrical distribution and/or transmission network models using approved modeling software.
Integrate and verify data from GIS, SCADA, and field systems to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
Perform model troubleshooting, error resolution, and version control to ensure high data integrity.
Support planning and engineering studies, including load flow, fault analysis, and system performance assessments.
Implement model change processes, documenting updates and ensuring alignment with configuration management standards.
Collaborate with field engineers, planners, GIS specialists, and IT teams to ensure accurate data exchange and network representation.
Assist in root-cause analysis for modeling discrepancies and propose long-term corrective actions.
Support automation and process improvements for network modeling workflows.
Maintain awareness of industry standards and emerging modeling technologies.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
4 6 years of experience in electrical network modeling, power systems analysis, or a related engineering discipline.
Hands-on experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and electrical modeling platforms such as CYME, Synergi, PowerFactory, PSS E, or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in data troubleshooting, model change management, and network data validation.
Familiarity with utility operations, SCADA, and asset data systems preferred.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of electrical system fundamentals, including transmission and distribution networks.
Proficiency in GIS tools and data integration workflows.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong data management and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical information clearly.
