Job Description:
A CMDB (Configuration Management Database) developer plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the ServiceNow platform, which supports IT service management.

The key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
  1. Design and Development: The CMDB developer is responsible for the day-to-day administration, development, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. They work with key ITIL processes such as Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Service Catalog, and more.
  2. Automation and Integration: They develop software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS. Additionally, they integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems via APIs.
  3. Data Management: The CMDB developer ensures data accuracy and completeness within the CMDB. They create and maintain business rules, data policies, client scripts, UI policies, and more.
  4. Performance Enhancement: They analyze system performance issues, troubleshoot production errors, and contribute to system integrations.
  5. Documentation: The developer also prepares technical documentation, including process workflows, reporting, and dashboards.Education: A bachelor's degree in a related area is typically required.
  6. Experience: At least 3 years of equivalent experience administering ServiceNow applications, including application design, source code management, JavaScript, APIs, web services, and User Interface design.
  7. Certification: Certified Application Development training/certification is preferred.
  8. Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, web services, HTML, CSS), database design schemas, and data modeling.
