Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Health IT Innovation Architect to lead development and execution of strategic solution development and implementation across our portfolio for our Benefits, Claims, and Integrity Solutions Operating unit. The successful candidate will be the lead solutions architect across the portfolio and a collaborative and advisory partner of the leadership team. You will lead innovation, digital transformation, and drive architectural strategies across our customers and teams to deliver Peraton's commitment to client mission success and support organizational growth.

The ideal candidate will apply their technical knowledge to assist clients in the design and development of solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems, network challenges, or system administration issues. Establishes the basic structure of the system, defines essential core design features and elements that provide the framework. Incorporates engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the customer's infrastructure related to its business processes of collection, analysis, production, and dissemination. Performs cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components. Applies knowledge of enterprise IT or engineering needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures that these are consistent with the customer's enterprise technical architecture. May participate in business development activities.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
  • The successful candidate will be a collaborative partner with Peraton's Health leadership team to lead systems architecture and modernization efforts across the portfolio.
  • Coordinate and lead technical initiatives across customers, partners and industry organizations that conveys Peraton's leading role in delivering critical mission IT outcomes
  • Develop and implement an approach for identifying, qualifying, and engaging with technical partners to support technical initiatives and opportunities
  • Facilitate technical teams, growth teams, and the delivery line, implementing solutions to increase technical collaboration and speed to deliver

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience successfully delivering technical solutions for mission critical IT programs in government
  • Deep understanding of Federal Health agency missions and experience delivering a broad range of services, solutions, and technology to clients
  • Proven ability to develop systems architecture solutions leveraging and strategic plans that are tightly aligned to accounts and growth opportunities
  • Direct experience leading teams to modernize and re-engineer legacy enterprise IT solutions to cloud
  • Direct experience developing custom tools and approaches leveraging cloud, DevSecOps, and modern data sharing strategies
  • Direct experience leading development of a new architecture through a Technical Review Board (TRB) and Authority to Operate (ATO) process
  • Ability to engage at all levels of the organization - quickly developing trust, collaborating, and driving actions
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value results for clients with limited direction in mission environments with fluid priorities
  • High-energy, strategic problem solver with excellent judgment and a passion for our customer's mission
  • Ability to lead and support with high performing cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication skills and proven ability to brief senior government and federal executives
  • Ability to hold a public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in information systems or related discipline
  • Direct experience leading technical initiatives and modernization at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or relevant field

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
