Position - Oracle functional Supply Chain consultant

Location - Downers Grove, IL (Hybrid)

Full Time

Core Oracle Functional Supply Chain Skills:

Experience with ERP systems: Specifically, experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) or Oracle Cloud SCM modules.

This includes modules like:

  • Inventory (INV)
  • Purchasing (PO)
  • Order Management (OM)
  • Manufacturing (WIP/BOM)
  • Supply Chain Planning (SCP), which would encompass ASCP and potentially Demantra.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes: This involves knowledge of procurement, order fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Ability to work with Oracle tools like BI Publisher or OTBI to create and maintain reports and dashboards. This also includes strong analytical skills for assessing supply chain performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Business process understanding: Ability to work with business users to gather requirements, document processes, and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) and Demantra Specific Skills:
  • ASCP functional expertise: Experience with the features, functions, and benefits of Oracle ASCP. This includes understanding how to set up data, model the supply chain, generate plans (Master, Production, and Manufacturing Plans), use the Planner Workbench, analyze exceptions, and respond to recommendations.
  • Demantra knowledge and/or experience: Familiarity with Oracle Demantra for demand planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. Understanding the integration between Demantra and ASCP for generating consensus forecasts for ASCP plans is also beneficial.
  • Implementation experience (highly valued): Hands-on experience with implementing and supporting Oracle ASCP and/or Demantra is highly desirable, as it demonstrates practical knowledge of deploying these solutions.
  • Ability to configure and optimize ASCP and Demantra: Experience with setting up and configuring both systems to meet business requirements, including optimizing planning parameters.
  • General Skills:
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: This includes the ability to analyze data, identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including business users, IT teams, and leadership.
  • Experience with project management methodologies: Familiarity with Agile or other relevant methodologies would be a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Self-starter, results-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environment: Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly with supply experience and buyer/planner roles, is preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge: Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Atleast 5-6 implementation experience and over all around 10-15 years experience or more.
