Description

The Azure Cloud Administrator is responsible for taking business requirements outlined by Azure Architects/Stakeholders/Customers per a given solution to build, deploy, and operationally manage the resources associated with a given solution within Azure.

Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and Azure Active Directory.

Resource Provisioning and Optimization: Deploy and manage resources efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.

Security Management: Implement security best practices and configure security policies to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor Azure infrastructure and services for performance, availability, and security issues. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation tools to streamline administrative tasks and improve efficiency.

Identity and Access Management: Manage user identities, permissions, and access controls in Azure Active Directory.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system engineers, data engineers, data science teams and security professionals to support business requirements and project objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding Azure infrastructure and service status.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document configurations, procedures, and best practices. Share knowledge and provide training to other team members as needed.

On-Premises Infrastructure Management:

Administer on-premises servers, storage, and networking equipment as required.

Monitor and maintain physical servers, ensuring proper functioning and optimal performance.

Professional Development: Keep abreast of Azure updates, new features, and industry trends. Continuously enhance skills through training and certifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Certification in Azure such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Proven experience in Azure cloud administration and management.

Strong understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure principles.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
