Position: VDI Consultant
Location: Miami, Florida
Duration: 13 Months Contract
Overview:
The VDI Consultant will serve as a supplemental technical resource within the customer s IT organization. Working under the customer s direction, this consultant will provide hands-on expertise in managing, optimizing, and securing the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment across designated sites as outlined in the project s Statement of Work (SOW).

Horizon Client
Liquidware Profile Unity
Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
GitLab (DoD instance)
SolarWinds (VDI Dashboard)
Aria Suite
Terraform
Ansible
Experience with GitLab 3.1.1.1 VDI performance optimization and automation is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
< data-start="1263" data-end="1311">Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):</>Develop and enhance the existing SolarWinds VDI dashboard for real-time performance monitoring.
Manage and maintain VDI images, ensuring secure Gold Image baselines with appropriate security agents and optimized graphics settings.
Document and standardize baseline images for consistent deployment and troubleshooting.
Implement Microsoft Power STIG configurations to strengthen DoD STIG compliance.
Configure and maintain Horizon Desktop/Infrastructure for improved memory allocation, redundancy, and profile management.
Optimize paging files and enhance reliability and performance of virtual desktop environments.
Configure and optimize Liquidware Profile Unity for faster load times and stable user profiles.
Integrate Terraform with GitLab to enable documented and automated infrastructure deployments.
Collaborate with network teams to review and optimize Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) configurations and 802.1X authentication implementations.
Ensure secure workstation integration and consistent network authentication.
Develop and refine Cisco ISE policies and rules in alignment with cybersecurity task directives and compliance requirements.
