Job Title: OpenText Functional Testing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Specialist
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced OpenText Functional Testing (UFT) RPA Specialist to support a large-scale IT portfolio initiative. The specialist will be responsible for gathering feature specifications, developing and maintaining automation scripts, deploying and testing automations across multiple platforms, and creating detailed documentation and training guides.
This role requires strong technical expertise in UFT and automation tools, as well as the ability to work independently on end-to-end automation development.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently gather and analyze feature and task specifications for automation initiatives.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain RPA solutions using OpenText Functional Testing (UFT).
Create and maintain training guides and comprehensive technical documentation for automated processes.
Automate workflows across multiple platforms, including Windows applications, web applications, ServiceNow, SAP, APIs, and other UFT-supported systems.
Utilize supporting tools and technologies such as PowerShell, VBScript, DOS Batch, and related scripting environments.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure automation aligns with business and IT objectives.
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing automation between various technology platforms using UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
Technical Requirements:
Senior-level expertise with UFT, Windows environments, and enterprise IT systems.
Strong understanding of automation across multiple application types (desktop, web, API, SAP, and third-party platforms).
Experience integrating automation solutions using scripting tools such as PowerShell, VBScript, and DOS Batch.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and ALM for task management and documentation.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in iterative development environments.
