Project Overview

Staff Tech is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to support a public-sector web portal modernization and data integration project. The selected consultant will contribute to the continued development of a secure data submission platform, used for collecting, validating, and managing large volumes of structured data. This project involves enhancing an existing codebase and building new modular components for future scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and extend a .NET Core 9 MVC-based web application using reusable design patterns and clean code principles.
  • Build secure, scalable components that allow for file upload, user management, and data validation.
  • Design and implement cross-column data validation for large CSV uploads (1 2 million rows).
  • Integrate and configure a wide range of AWS services including S3, Lambda, Cognito, CloudFormation, and SES.
  • Develop tools to automate communications using data-driven triggers and templates.
  • Participate in a structured deliverables-based environment, including documentation, training, and regular status reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • ASP.NET Core (6 9), MVC architecture, Razor, and Entity Framework Core (code-first)
    • AWS services: S3, Lambda, Cognito, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, SES, EC2
    • Python, Bootstrap 5+, jQuery
  • Demonstrated application of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Experience with large-scale CSV ingestion, data validation, and user access workflows
  • Familiarity with deliverables-based government contracts and documentation requirements
  • Strong communication skills for working with technical teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Snowflake and/or Microsoft Power Automate
  • Experience with public-sector or regulated data systems
  • Understanding of accessibility and compliance standards for web development
