We're seeking a skilled Information Systems Analyst to support 24x7x365 monitoring and frontline troubleshooting of enterprise infrastructure systems. This role is critical to maintaining the health and performance of Southern Company's computing environment, including Windows, Unix/Linux servers, batch processing systems, and monitoring tools. We're seeking a skilled Information Systems Analyst to support 24x7x365 monitoring and frontline troubleshooting of enterprise infrastructure systems. This role is critical to maintaining the health and performance of Southern Company's computing environment, including Windows, Unix/Linux servers, batch processing systems, and monitoring tools. What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage infrastructure systems including Windows, Unix/Linux servers, IBM mainframe, and databases
- Run and troubleshoot batch jobs using tools like JobTrac, AutoSys, and Control-M
- Respond to system alerts using monitoring tools such as Oracle Unified Assurance (OUA) and Netcool
- Perform first-line diagnosis and resolution for system and application issues
- Track and document incidents and resolutions in detail
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for issue resolution
- Support disaster recovery processes and backup monitoring
- Identify and recommend process improvements for frontline tools and documentation
- Maintain system integrity across computing and mainframe environments
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience with Windows operating systems (required); Unix/Linux experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience running and troubleshooting batch jobs using JobTrac, AutoSys, or Control-M
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Oracle Unified Assurance (OUA) and/or Netcool
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a 24x7x365 operations environment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Nice to Have
- Experience with IBM mainframe systems and related technologies (JCL, JES2, CICS, DB2, etc.)
- Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases, IIS, DFS, and Exchange servers
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, or Oracle Linux (OCA/OCP)
- Prior experience in a large enterprise or utility environment
