RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Data Analyst in Greenwood Village, CO.
Position Overview:
As a Junior Data Analyst specializing in Operations and Analysis, you will play a vital role in ensuring data integrity and driving insights that contribute to our company's success. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in SQL, Excel, and data analysis while actively supporting operational processes and contributing to ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Support:
* Assist in Tier 3 triage operations by analyzing and resolving data issues under the guidance of senior team members
* Learn to effectively manage tickets, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-related challenges
* Support data validation efforts to ensure accuracy and reliability of information across various systems
Data Analysis:
* Utilize SQL and Excel to extract, transform, and analyze data from diverse sources
* Learn to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present insights and findings to stakeholders
* Contribute to ongoing analysis projects, gathering requirements, and providing support to senior analysts
Project Assistance:
* Assist in source table analysis to understand data structures and relationships for development projects
* Learn to gather and document metrics to assess data quality, performance, and usage patterns
* Provide support to development teams by executing SQL queries and conducting basic data analyses
Learning and Development:
* Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills in SQL, Excel, and data analysis
* Seek opportunities to learn about data governance principles and best practices in the industry
* Take ownership of professional growth by seeking feedback and proactively engaging in skill-building activities
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
* Basic understanding of SQL for data querying and manipulation; Willingness to learn and develop proficiency
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a desire to collaborate with diverse teams
* Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
* Previous internship or academic projects related to data analysis or operations is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
