Job Role - Java Backend Developer(NodeJS)
Location - Chantilly, VA(Remote)
Job Details:
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer(NodeJS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and maintaining scalable microservices and RESTful APIs. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable backend systems using Java.
• Build and optimize microservices architecture for enhanced performance and reliability.
• Develop RESTful APIs to support various business functionalities and integrate them with frontend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Implement security and data protection measures. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend services and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and microservices architecture.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of proven experience as a Java Backend Developer or similar role.
• - Writing web servers
- Developing middleware for the web server
- Strong Experience with NodeJS
- Good understanding of encryption and use of encryption libraries
- Good understanding of encoding/decoding
- Security-conscious – aware of common pitfalls
- Working experience with serverless technologies in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Good understanding of serverless architecture
- Understanding of NoSQL databases, e.g., DynamoDB
- Strong understanding of data structures
- Familiarity with data structures such as FHIR R4 is a plus
- Writing web hooks
- Familiarity with cron-like operations using EventBridge is a plus.
