Job Description

This is not a summer internship. It is a year round, part-time position supporting our sites in Lincolnton and Shelby, North Carolina.

As an Industrial Engineering Intern at LctP Manufacturing (Robert Bosch Tool Corp.), you will support manufacturing, logistics, and operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity. You will assist in designing manufacturing best methods, floor layouts, conducting time studies, ergonomic analysis and applying lean manufacturing principles. Develop and implement projects to support the Value Stream targets in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams across the organization.

Learn how to establish and improve the process methods for our manufacturing processes including all Value Streams.

Assist in the development of new manufacturing processes along with Manufacturing Engineering utilizing Bosch Production System (BPS) methodologies.

Learn how to make Ergonomic assessments for required processes.

Assess possible bottleneck situations in production process.

Participate in continuous improvement teams and provide feedback for all related areas.

Participate in BPS events to improve plant wide manufacturing excellence maturity.

Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university.
  • Currently pursing a degree in Engineering (Industrial/Systems preferred).
  • Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working skills in Microsoft Office.
