Role Overview
Seeking a versatile IT Support Technician to provide comprehensive technical assistance across various devices and platforms. This is a hands-on position focused on hardware, software, and end-user support in an on-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Assistance & Troubleshooting
- Deliver in-person support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems across supported devices
Hardware Support
- Deploy and set up new computers, laptops, and related equipment
- Perform repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance
- Coordinate with relevant teams to order necessary parts and replacements
Software Support
- Assist users in installing, updating, and configuring software applications
- Resolve application errors, crashes, and compatibility issues
- Provide training and best-practice guidance for software use
Issue Tracking & Escalation
- Log support requests and solutions using internal ticketing systems
- Escalate unresolved or complex problems to higher-level support teams
- Confirm issue resolution and follow up for user feedback
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate asset records for hardware and software
- Monitor allocation, movement, and decommissioning of devices
Desired
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-based environments (Windows 10 & 11)
- Experience with device imaging, deployment, and automation tools
- Familiarity with productivity software such as Microsoft 365
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities
- Organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of security standards and data protection practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional IT certifications or coursework preferred
- Prior experience in deskside support or technical assistance roles
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Working Environment
- 100% on-site role; hands-on support in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
