Aerospace Quality Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to lead and support quality processes across our aerospace programs. The role includes root cause analysis, corrective actions, inspection planning, and supporting supplier and customer quality. You will ensure products and processes meet AS9100 standards and customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Develop and maintain inspection plans

  • Prepare, review, and approve AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports

  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and manage nonconformance dispositions

  • Provide technical quality support to internal teams and external customers

  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), regulations, and project requirements

  • Analyze and improve testing and inspection methods to enhance reliability and product quality

  • Drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement strategies

  • Support supplier and customer quality activities, including RMAs and warranty claims

  • Maintain accurate documentation and process control


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master s degree with 3+ years)

  • Experience with AS9100 QMS and aerospace quality standards

  • Strong background in RCA, CAPA, and MRB processes


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of reliability testing and quality evaluation methods

  • Experience supporting supplier quality and customer-facing quality issues

  • Strong documentation skills and process improvement mindset

  • Leadership and initiative to drive cross-functional quality efforts
