  • Perform deep JVM tuning (heap/off-heap, threads, caches).
  • Diagnose and resolve search performance issues (CPU, latency, throughput, memory leaks).
  • Optimize high-volume indexing (commit strategies, merge policies).
  • Enforce security and HA (TLS, RBAC, audits, zero-downtime upgrades).

ELK Stack (Secondary)

  • Design and run Elasticsearch clusters for PoCs and production.
  • Tune mappings, shards, JVM, and query DSL.
  • Secure Elasticsearch using TLS and role-based access control.
  • Implement observability and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic).
  • Platform Operations
  • Execute capacity planning, benchmarking, and RCAs for search platforms.
  • Ensure documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices.

Lucidworks Fusion (Preferred)

  • Install, configure, and support Fusion (on-prem/cloud).
  • Manage custom Fusion JARs, patches, and vendor-led upgrades.
  • Build and tune ingestion and query pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot Fusion/Spark and connector failures.

Required Skills (Must-Have)

  • 4–5 years of hands-on Apache Solr administration experience.
  • Deep expertise with SolrCloud operations and JVM tuning.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for performance, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of TLS, RBAC, HA, and zero-downtime upgrades.
  • Experience supporting Lucidworks Fusion (installation, pipelines, upgrades).
  • Secondary/Optional Skills (Good to Have)
  • ELK stack administration: Elasticsearch (PoCs & production), Logstash/Kibana exposure.
  • Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic.
  • Spark connectors and ingestion pipeline tuning.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Thanks and regards
