RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Corvallis, OR that is seeking a Product Engineering Technician.
Summary:
The Product Engineering Technician (PET) assists a team of Electrical Test and Product Engineers with day-to-day product development engineering activities. Daily activities are varied and can range from desk/computer work to light physical labor. Product development requires working with multi-discipline engineering teams to gather and understand product requirements and then perform tests to characterize and understand product performance against those requirements.
The Product Engineering Technician will be working in an active proto line environment or on individual proto tooling equipment. Following all safety criteria is a priority and performing product development tests with exactness and attention to detail is essential. Daily responsibilities may also involve designing, organizing and conducting experiments, developing product quality audit tests, data collection and analysis, and creating clear documentation.
Responsibilities for this position include:
* Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting pen manufacturing metrology processes, including calibration, verification, gauge R&Rs and kappa studies
* Use of basic statistics for performing Gauge R&Rs of various inspection tools
* Obtain quotes/estimates from vendors and complete the purchasing process
* Developing process/equipment documentation per the HP Quality Management System (QMS)
* Assisting operators and technicians with the use of SPC
* Other duties as directed by the Engineering Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
* Familiar with basic pneumatic and fluid circuitry
* Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Experience in automated and semi-automated tooling used to assemble and inspect ink jet pen assemblies
* Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), Margin Studies and statistical process analysis using JMP Software
* Familiar with the use of 3D printers and software
* Basic CAD with CREO experience preferred
* Knowledge of DMS and/or Windchill for document management & change management
* Smartsheet and Smartsheet Dashboards experience
* Experience with high-level part tracking capability for troubleshooting
* Clear verbal and written communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
