BigBear.ai is seeking an UI/UX Designer to support the digital transformation of an international customer's military readiness capabilities through the design and usability of a military readiness and force management platform.

Join our team of experts building a comprehensive enterprise solution that integrates advanced data analytics, AI-powered decision support, and predictive modeling for military readiness and force management. You'll design user interfaces and enhance usability as part of our multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analytics developers, software engineers, business analysts, front-end developers, and military readiness subject matter experts. Together, we're creating an innovative platform that bridges cloud-based development with on-premises deployment, providing military decision-makers with unprecedented visibility into force readiness, resource allocation, and operational planning. What you will do

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, business analysts, SMEs, and the development team
  • Create UI mockups, wireframes, and prototypes to illustrate design concepts and functionality
  • Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for military decision-makers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality
  • Participate in design and delivery reviews for stakeholder approvals
  • Contribute to the development of workflow automation, data visualization, and decision support tools

What you need to have

  • BS in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and wireframing tools
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Understanding of Agile methods
