Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Architect to join our team on a hybrid basis in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Salesforce architecture, solution design, and integration, particularly within complex health and human services systems. You will lead end-to-end Salesforce implementations, contribute to strategic technology planning, and ensure security and performance standards are met across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, architect, and implement enterprise-grade solutions on Salesforce.
Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable and secure Salesforce solutions.
Provide architectural oversight, enforce coding standards, and guide development practices.
Develop technical reference models and architectural documentation.
Lead integration efforts with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
Monitor, review, and optimize Salesforce application performance.
Ensure compliance with platform, security, and infrastructure standards.
Support DevOps practices, including packaging, deployment (via ANT, Change Sets), and environment management.
Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to support cloud-based deployments (AWS).
Recommend cost-effective architecture and platform optimization strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Systems Architect or Solutions Expert in complex health and human services systems.
5+ years of experience integrating Salesforce with PostgreSQL/SQL and MongoDB or equivalents.
4+ years of Salesforce development using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Batch Jobs, Triggers, and Lightning Components.
3+ years of experience with Salesforce Workflow, Dashboards, Reports, and Custom Objects.
3+ years in deployment using ANT, Change Sets, and environment migration.
Hands-on experience with tools: Force.com IDE, Data Loader, Eclipse Plugin, Sublime, etc.
4+ years integrating external applications with Salesforce using REST/SOAP.
Strong experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years in Salesforce solution architecture and development.
5+ years of experience with large-scale Health and Human Services (HHS), ACA, or Integrated Eligibility systems.
5+ years of troubleshooting Middleware, Network, and Security components.
3+ years working with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, AppExchange, Chatter.
Experience in a senior technical lead role.
Experience with Salesforce Einstein or other AI-driven Salesforce tools.
Deep understanding of Salesforce Partner and Customer Communities.
Familiarity with JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Highcharts, and related web technologies.
Salesforce Architect Certification highly preferred.
Experience working with PMO frameworks and enterprise IT governance.
